((Set after Maria drops by))
Alice had been out that day with Jasper, hunting. As it had been a while since she had gone hunting and it was rare she went without Jasper. There was always a relaxing feeling after hunting, for Alice anyway. However, that was not the case this time. She had a vision of someone, not so familiar to her, at their house. When she saw her asking her family where Jasper was, she began to really panic. The name of the woman escaped her lips in a whisper, "Maria." She said in a panicked voice before she told Jasper that they had to go home now.
Running through the forest as fast as she could she began to see the house and caught the smell of said woman. She assumed it was her anyway. She then turned her gaze back to Jasper, seeing if he was behind her or not.

Alice's vision had been not only a surprise, but also a worry in Jasper's mind. The last he had seen of the vampire was years ago; a good century or two at that. Along with the fact that just six short years prior, a new born army had been made caused Jasper to think the two were some how related. Nonetheless he attempted to maintain a calm persona, in hopes of not allowing his feelings to spread and effect Alice's mood. Of course Alice and his family new the stories of his past and what happened with Maria. Alice of course knew the finer details more than the others. Yet, they opted to not bring up his past too many times. The ones in his family who could remember their human lives, often kept those stories to themselves; at least the more gruesome ones, at that. Jasper's human life had been fairly nice. Short yes, those years he spent growing old each day, those memories of his human family and friends, were slowly fading with every decade that passed. The first years of his vampire life, however remained vivid, with the scars that covered his entire body, as a constant reminder.
He and Alice had both hurried back to Forks, hoping that Alice would get a contradicting vision of sorts, or at least some word from another member of their family, that everything was okay. But that didn't happen. Then again, the time it took for both he and his wife to return home wasn't that big of a time slot. So soon did the image of the Cullen home come into view. Alice was in front of him, but Jasper wasn't too far behind. He offered a brief smile, his mouth a straight, strained line but nonetheless he was convinced he would contain his emotions. No need to make others worry, after all. "I smell her too." Jasper added, his pace beginning to slow the closer they got to the house. Though the scent had been one that hadn't crossed his path in a long time, it was still remembered and somewhat familiar.

When he offered her a brief smile, Alice moved to grab hold of his hand. She knew she had left already, and she knew that she had left a note left for him, etched in stone. She had to hold back a laugh when she had seen Rosalie slam the door in her face. She did feel slightly calmer, because Jasper was near her. However, she wasn't sure how she would be if she saw Maria face to face, without Jasper around. She was hesitant to go see what exactly Maria had written on the rock, and even more hesitant to show Jasper. She didn't want him to be in pain, as she was sure this girl brought back bad memories for him.
A frown fell upon her features at the thought as she moved forward, hesitantly going over towards the rock, though she did not tell Jasper where exactly they would be going to, he would see soon enough.
