Edward ran through the forest at an inhumanly speed, the greenery rushing by him in an almost blur, though to him, it was clear as ever. When he finally reached his favorite place, Edward came to a sudden stop, standing on the edges of the meadow where the sun shone down through the trees and clouds. A small sigh came from his lips as past memories flew through his head; he could still remember the first time bringing Bella here. They had first traveled on foot when he brought her here and he showed the human girl what he truly is. The reason behind why his family was never around when it was a nice sunny day in forks.
These thoughts made him close his eyes and shake his head a bit. When he opened his eyes, he stepped slowly away from the shadows of the trees and into the meadow. Edward went to about the center of it, where the sun shone down on him; his eyes went down to his hands, turning them over and over. The vampire sat down on the ground, crossing his legs under one another, he looked away from his hands and allowed himself to fall backwards on his back, pushing his legs straight out in front of him. Edward stared up towards the sun for a moment, before he turned his head to the side and stared at nothing. A part of him was starting to feel that coming back to Forks was a bad idea. He saw the girl ever day, even if she didn't notice him, her scent was all over the place and to never hold her again pained him deeply.
maybe i should leave Forks and never come back. she seems to be better off without me in her life, so why try to force myself back into it.. he thought, as Edward closed his eyes and sighed out.
